Girl Talk

I am linking up with Amy at Lucky Number 13 and her weekly virtual coffee series.

If you and I were sitting down to have a cup of coffee this morning (or evening, whenever you're reading), I would tell you...

That I seriously have not been able to get Disneyland out of my head. If you read my last post, you'd know it's been on my mind...but it got worse today. I had lunch with a friend and we started talking about our favorite things about the park. Oh dear...

That I finally started reading Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks...and am really enjoying it so far!

That I have mixed feelings about this whole Bin Laden thing. Not saying it's not probably a good thing that he can't do what he was doing anymore...but I don't like all the cheering and rejoicing people are doing over it. I don't think Jesus would be out there cheerin'. Just saying...
(And, I guess I'd also tell you that I seriously hope I didn't open a can of worms with this one. It's just how I've been feeling about it)

That I'm excited about the opening of a new shop and blog today! Stacey of Stonewash & Bloom is hosting a giveaway and asked her readers to spread the word about her blog! She makes really cute one-of-a-kind headbands, rings, and bracelets. You can check out her shop here.

That I'm super excited to get my hair done this week...finally! It's been almost 6 months since I've had it trimmed or dyed! I'm very much looking forward to hair without split ends and roots showing!! Sheesh!

That I'm not enjoying this sudden change in weather. I was definitely ready for a break from the rain...but mid-80's is a bit much. It's still spring, ya know...

And, of course, if we were really having coffee, you would definitely be talking back at me. So, feel free to leave some comment love if you feel so led.

Happy Tuesday!

I love your blog! And this post was adorable! I think I just might have to start doing this too.

As for the Bin Ladin thing, I feel the same way. And don't worry, we are not alone. The Bible says "LOVE your enemies". NOT "Love the enemies that don't do super bad things, and hate your enemies that do crazy bad things and rejoice over their death." Right? Last I knew, the only death we should rejoice over taking place is Jesus', cause He rose from the dead! Wake up people, we are called to L.O.V.E.!

Also, thanks for my little commercial on this post. : ) You are entered in the giveaway!

I have to say that I feel relieved you wrote what you did about Bin Laden! I feel the same way. Awkward, and also sad, and IN NO WAY do I feel his death equals justice. People who say that are people who don't understand where true justice comes from, and that if we ourselves got what we deserved, we'd be goners too. What he did was sad, and the fact that he was a broken, lost man was sad too. Thanks for sharing. On another note, I wanted to get my hair cut this week too! I am long overdue. Thanks for the reminder to call my girl!!
