Insta Week and Other Random Stuff

I never remember to do an InstaFriday post, so I'm doing a post with a few pics from my week.

A friend and I took a second trip to a local shop where you can paint your own pottery. Last time we went, we made Christmas gifts for our families. This time, we each made something for ourselves.

I have been meaning to buy myself a butter dish, so when I saw that they had one there, I decided to paint that.

My friend wanted a cute bowl to put her avocados in on her counter. I can't wait to see how bright the colors turn out after they are fired!

On Friday night, we spent the evening with Josh's brothers and their families. One of his brothers bought a coupon deal for all of us to go to a mini golf place together as a Christmas present and this was the soonest we could use it. We had a lot of fun not being very serious with the game.

On Saturday night, we had a couple of friends over last minute to eat some yummy Mexican food for Cinco de Mayo. Ground beef tacos, salsa, chips, rice and beans from a local Mexican restaurant, and strawberry and lime margaritas made for a fun night.

We also watched both parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows this weekend, though we watched them out of order.

As far as some random things, I really am interested to see if this bracelet would actually fit my little wrists. I have such a hard time finding bracelets that I like that don't look like I'm playing dress up with them.

I hate when my hubby mows the lawns, because we seem to have an influx of spiders in the house after. Last time, we killed three spiders in one day...and had a big potato bug in the house! This time, it's only been one huge jumping spider...but that doesn't mean there's not more waiting to come in. Yuck!

I'm watching Saved by the Bell on Netflix right now. It cracks me up at how corny the acting was back then...but it's also scary to compare it to today's teen shows on TV. Saved by the Bell is so mild in topic compared to shows like The Secret Life of the American Teenager. It's amazing how fast things can change...
