Bending Beneath the Weight

Life is hard sometimes.
I think it's harder for me to watch someone else go through something than it is to experience my own struggles. I have been praying over a dear friend of mine today, trying to be an encouragement. This song came to mind in the midst of it all:

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

Yeah, He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves.

We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If His grace is an ocean, we're all sinking.
And Heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don't have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way

That He loves us
(He Loves Us by David Crowder Band)

I tend to forget the part about "these afflictions eclipsed by glory". Every time I go through something in life, or a friend goes through something, my response will either glorify God or not. I want my response to bring Him glory.
Thank You for Your love, Lord...and the fact that I don't have time to maintain these regrets...when I think about the way that You love me.
