15. Christmas parties. Oh, I love them. We are having one tomorrow night with the college group, and we have a white elephant gift party to go to on Monday night. There is something so amazing about combining the festivities of Christmas with friends in a "party" environment. I love walking around someone's house, with the sounds of Christmas music in the background, chatting it up with my friends. In my mind, I imagine the perfect party to be this way:
Everyone is wearing amazing clothes. Like, really amazing. The women in beautiful cashmere sweaters in bright reds and golds, with leggings and cute boots. The guys in striped button down shirts with a nice pair of jeans. And, everyone has a glass of sparkling cider in their hands as they laugh and reminiscence about days gone past. The house has beautiful decorations hanging from every nook and cranny, and the food is spectacular.
Man...
So, even though I have NEVER been to a party like that...that is what I look forward to when I think about Christmas parties. The joys of wearing "dressy" clothes, enjoying some Martinelli's, and laughing with the people you love most in the world. I am super excited about these parties!
