Reason Number Seventeen

I had a busy night last night, so I didn't get a chance to post this.

17. Christmas ornaments. I know my first reason was Christmas trees, but some of my ornaments are very dear to my heart...so they get a reason all their own. Our Christmas tree is a hodge podge of Hallmark ornaments I collected over the three years I worked there (and beyond), ornaments we've been received as gifts since we've been married, and the ornaments Josh's mom and grandma got him each year when he was growing up (and they are all dated). I have a couple of ornaments that are very special to me. One is of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial. It lights up and plays a line of America the Beautiful. The reason I love this one so much is because of what it reminds me of. I posted in reason number 6 about the smells I love at Christmas. I have a thing for smells, as I mentioned there. And, I talked specifically about why I love this ornament so much (read it here ). I also love the Precious Moments ornament we have for Our First Christmas. I really want to get a Precious Moments one for when we need a Baby's First Christmas ornament. Josh has some pretty cute ornaments, too. He has one of Santa warming his butt in front of the fire that I find hilarious. I just think ornaments can add so much character to a tree and can remind you of the places you've been, the memories you've made, and the people you love...and they get brought out each and every year to bring all those warm fuzzies back.
